We’re excited that you’re considering ӰƵ for your education. We also understand that transferring colleges can be confusing and stressful. That’s why we’ve put together the following list of frequently asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your AA degree is from a regionally accredited institution within the United States, you will have satisfied all of your general education requirements except:

  • Exploring the Bible
  • Freedom in American Society
  • Christian Values and Biblical Faith

Please note: Majors such as pre-pharmacy and nursing may require additional coursework.

ӰƵ does not accept transfer courses if you earned less than a C-. One exception: It will transfer if it was part of coursework you received to earn your AA degree. Your AA must have been conferred and the course needed to meet the minimum of 60 hours as stated in our Articulation Agreement. If it is a requirement of your major, you will be requested to take it over as all courses earned toward your major and minor must be at a C- or above.

No. We only accept courses that are assigned a letter grade. We do not accept credit for courses that are taken for preparatory college credit.

Yes, if your AP score is 3 or higher and our CLEP test is 50 or higher (foreign language scores have higher requirements). However, we do not accept CLEP credit for Composition 2 or Humanities.

Please note: the final decision is made when official documentation is received in the Registrar’s Office.

Yes, if you have less than 68 credits you may be granted permission by your dean to take a maximum of nine credit hours at another institution. You must take your last 32 hours at ӰƵ. Therefore, if you transfer in with 88 hours, you will not be able to take transient student credits. You will not be able to take a class at another institution if you received a D, F or W for that class at ӰƵ.

ӰƵ accepts a maximum of 67 credit hours from two-year institutions and 88 from four-year institutions.
